The shape-shifting, soul stealing demon sorcerer of Outworld, Shang Tsung has controlled the Mortal Kombat tournament for the past nine generations. From each tournament he has stolen the souls of vanquished warriors, feeding his unholy powers. With this tenth and final tournament, Shang Tsung intends to unbalance the forces between good and evil, and open a portal to the Realm of Earth. This will allow him and his dark emperor to enter our realm and wreak the same havoc in our dimension as they have in Outworld.
Portrayed By: Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Cary is a well known Hollywood actor who is well versed in playing villains. He can be seen in such films as Rising Sun, License to Kill, The Last Emperor, and Twins.
